How do I edit a study?
Use Plan to shape the research outline and Build to edit the blocks respondents will see. Manual edits do not use AI credits; AI-assisted actions do.
Edit the plan
Section titled “Edit the plan”Open Plan to change the study goal, audience, or sequence before working on individual questions. A study created from scratch opens on this tab first.
You can edit the plan yourself or ask the in-app agent to revise it. Review the result, then move to Build when the outline is ready.
Edit the blocks
Section titled “Edit the blocks”Open Build to work on the respondent-facing study. You can:
- Rewrite questions, instructions, labels, and answer options.
- Replace images, prototype links, and website links.
- Add, reorder, or duplicate blocks.
- Delete blocks you no longer need.
Manual changes save to the draft. They do not change a version that you already launched.
Use AI assistance
Section titled “Use AI assistance”Ask the in-app agent to draft blocks, rewrite a question, or suggest a block for a research goal. AI actions use credits. Check Plan & usage for your current balance and the cost of completed actions. Manual editing does not use AI credits.
Treat the result as a draft. Check the wording, method, options, and any asset placeholders before previewing.
Preview before launching
Section titled “Preview before launching”Click Preview to open the respondent view in a new tab. Preview answers are not saved. Once the flow looks right, launch a frozen version for respondents.
