When should I use a live website block?
Use Live website when respondents need to complete a task on a real site rather than a prototype. Fiuto gives them the task and opens the site in their browser. Screen recording is built in, and you can add a time guide and follow-up questions.
When to reach for it
Section titled “When to reach for it”Reach for Live website to test a shipped journey such as finding information, comparing products, or completing an account task. Use Live prototype when the destination is a prototype, or a First-click test when you only need to know where someone clicks on one screen.
Set up the task
Section titled “Set up the task”Add a public HTTP or HTTPS URL and the task. Screen recording is built in; you can add a time guide and follow-up questions. Follow-ups can be open text, multiple choice, or ratings.
The respondent must be able to open the destination. If the site needs an account or other access, arrange that before sharing the study.
What respondents see
Section titled “What respondents see”Before the task starts, Fiuto asks for recording consent and confirms the external destination. The browser then asks which tab or window to share.
If the respondent declines recording, uses an unsupported browser or device, or the browser cannot start capture, they can continue without a recording.
Read the results
Section titled “Read the results”Results show the median task duration, a playable screen recording when capture completed, and answers to each follow-up question.
